From cinematic journeys at our film screenings to literary explorations in the Writers' Club, the Poetry Circle, and the innovative Hybrid Book Club, each event is thoughtfully curated to inspire personal growth through film, literature, and community engagement across our centres in New Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai. 

Theme: Celebrating the Mother Language – The Power of Words: How Literature Shapes Minds and Lives

Join us this month as we honour the beauty and power of the mother language! Through engaging discussions and creative writing sessions, we’ll delve into how literature in native languages shapes identities, preserves culture, sparks imagination, and transforms lives. Celebrate the words that connect us to our roots and inspire a world of ideas.​

Where: British Council Library in New Delhi, Chennai, or Kolkata on Fridays. ​

When: 6pm to 8pm, every Friday night.​

Who: Open to individuals aged 18 and above. .​

Hybrid Book Club: "The Canterbury Tales" by Geoffrey Chaucer

A cornerstone of English literature, this collection of stories, written in Middle English, showcases the diversity of voices, dialects, and storytelling traditions of medieval England. Chaucer is considered the "Father of English Literature," and The Canterbury Tales is a testament to the evolution of the English language and its role in shaping literary culture.
