British Council is delighted to celebrate 100th birth year of British writer Roald Dahl with#20films20weeks festival. Dahl's books have sold over 200 million copies worldwide, with works like James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The Witches, Fantastic Mr Fox, The BFG and many more making their way to the silver screen.
Join us at the British Council Chennai for the screening of the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the script for which was written by Roald Dahl, followed by some interersting activities.
Movie Plot: Weird inventor Caractacus Potts invents an amazing flying car, which takes him and his family to Vulgaria, where the sinister buffoon Baron Bomburst holds their kidnapped grandfather and captures the car. As the baron has made children illegal in Vulgaria, Caractacus and company must stop no shorter than inciting a full-blown revolution to save his children.
