We all love picking up a book to read, but have you ever read/listened to an Audio book? They are a convenient alternative to old-fashioned reading. Some people find that their reading understanding improves when they listen to their favourite audiobooks, and other people have an easier time multitasking. It’s also important to understand that an audiobook can be read along while listening. It is not exclusively audio-only.

The British Council in Kolkata is pleased to host an exciting event on the modern day audio books and what role do they play in our lives. Conducted by celebrity radio jockey Mir Afsar Ali and broadcasting expert Indrani Chakrabarti, this event will feature a dramatic reading of a story by Mir, discussions on audio storytelling/reading and the different types that exist, as well as an interactive discussion on tips and tricks to reading/listening to audio books.
