The British Council, in association with National Award-winning Bengali film director Srijit Mukherjee, is delighted to present Shakespeare Lives in Zulfiqar to celebrate the film which is an adaptation inspired by Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar and Anthony and Cleopatra. The film releases in October 2016.
On Saturday 1 October 2016, from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. we will hold a debate followed by a panel discussion at the British Council, First Floor, L&T Chambers, 16 Camac Street, Kolkata 700016.
The topic of the Debate is - ‘Not that I loved Caesar less but that I loved Rome more: the political is above the personal in public life.’
The Panel Discussion will be on - The evil that men do lives after them, the good is often interred with their bones’ – Julius Caesar
