In commemoration of 60 remarkable years of National Theatre, UK, we are delighted to extend an invitation to you for a special and complimentary screening of Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, Othello, presented by the British Council.

Immerse yourself in the captivating narrative of Othello, directed by Clint Dyer. This production boasts an exceptional cast, featuring the talents of Giles Terera (Hamilton), Rosy McEwen (The Alienist), and Paul Hilton (The Inheritance), promising a captivating and powerful performance.

Othello unfolds a poignant tale of love, societal expectations, and the relentless struggle against prejudice. As Desdemona, a resilient and ambitious daughter of a senator, navigates her elevated status while grappling with societal norms, Othello, a former slave who has risen above adversity, finds himself facing the complexities of love transcending racial boundaries.

Their clandestine union is a beacon of hope for a fresh start, but as unseen forces conspire against them, the couple discovers that their envisioned future is not solely within their control. The gripping storyline explores the fragility of human emotions and the profound impact of external influences on our destinies.
