About the 3 Artworks:

In Search of the Divine Feminine

The Dusa Mahavidyas belong to the Shakta tradition in canonical Hindu mythology.

The selected artworks are based on the concept of the 10 wisdom goddesses (Dusa Mahavidya). They are incarnations of the goddess Kali with 3 versions of the goddess depicted here. They represent a spectrum where a middle ground must be met.

Kali, Chinnamastika and Kamalatmika are a reference to finding the middle ground. Kamalatmika, even though she is part of the Dus mahavidyas, is an incarnation of the goddess Saraswati.
