About the Artwork:
Disperse
Ela’s work embraces the profound simplicity of repetitive sequencing, where individual elements merge to create cohesive sculptural pieces. Though each work may be small in scale, its installation often redefines the space it occupies, making a bold statement. My recent pieces involve scaling up similar forms in vast numbers, exploring how their arrangements can vary dramatically within different environments. This repetition is not merely a technique but a deeply meditative practice, where each form is carefully multiplied and transformed. Drawing inspiration from the immediate world—whether from nature or urban landscapes—my creations develop organically, resisting predictable styles. The minimalist colour palette serves to accentuate the subtle interplay of form and space.
