About the Artwork:
Altarpiece Triptych
Through the ages the botanical world has been central to our existence; an intimate part of our lives and culture, our past and our future. This series is a reminder and a celebration of our intertwined threads of kinship with nature. Illuminated with gold, each work is conceived as an altarpiece to evoke a sense of preciousness of what could soon be lost. Painted with gouache on paper, these intricately detailed botanical bouquets are an interplay between the quotidian and the sacred.
