The British Council and Formula 1 are working together to inspire the next generation and open up a world of future career opportunities.

We are launching a new international education programme, Learning Sectors, which supports young people to develop the knowledge, skills, and passion for a career in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

Our Learning Sectors programme will work with young people in 130 schools in India throughout 2025 in three phases.

  • Phase 1: January to March 2025
  • Phase 2: April to September 2025
  • Phase 3: October to December 2025

Learners will take part in a range of science and technology activities to develop practical skills for future careers.

Young people will experience STEM in action through the experts at Formula 1, who will share insights from the world of sport and encourage learners to consider the careers it can offer.

English will be used as the medium of instruction for this programme.

Working as a team is integral to success within Formula 1, so Learning Sectors will teach young participants to work collectively across groups and borders by matching the schools in India with a partner in the UK thereby inviting the learners to collaborate.
