Meet the speakers

Ramoola Rasool

Romola Rassool is the Director of the Postgraduate Institute of English of the Open University of Sri Lanka. Romola obtained a PhD in Arts (Sociolinguistics) from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Teachers College, Columbia University, New York, and a B. A. (Honours) in English from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. She has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of English Language Teaching.

Karan Singh

Karan Singh heads Govt. Relations & Partner Engagement at Nasscom overseeing central and state government skilling programs, including initiatives like FutureSkills Prime and leading the partner ecosystem - aimed towards creating India as the global hub for digital talent. Under Karan’s leadership, Sector Skills Council Nasscom has skilled 2+ million learners over the past 3 years in both classroom and virtual modes. 

Dr Mahashram Sharma

Dr Sharma currently serves as the Chairperson of the National Examinations Board (NEB), which oversees the development and administration of all school-level examinations in Nepal. He specifically provides strategic leadership for the school-level examination system across the country. His expertise spans macro- and micro-level planning, programming, budgeting, and implementation of examination projects at national, regional, and local levels.
